The media encourages these protests and violence, it gives them stories that fit their narrative. The more protests the more anti Trump news they have spew there lies and propaganda. I am still puzzled why anyone watches and believes them.

Julie Kelly's avatar

People do because sheep love to be told anything to confirm their own biases. And as I noted--it's not just the usual suspects who are repeating this lie. Even conservative outlets, reporters are saying the same. I blame laziness for the most part.

Real investigative journalism, with very few exceptions, you, fortunately for us, being one, is dead. It’s been replaced both in journalism schools and “news” rooms/bureaus with advocacy journalism. Disregard facts that don’t fit the narrative and create “facts” if advancing the narrative requires it. And the MSM wonders why their reputation falls below used car salesmen.

sandy picard's avatar

When you only watch the MSM, X, what else are they to believe? Not everyone searches for objective truth as we do.

The conversation about the “mother who was shot by an ICE officer and killed seems to always leave out that the Officer was injured after the mother hit him with her vehicle. I didn’t learn this until Harris Faulkner reported this on Fox yesterday, his third day recovering in the hospital from bleeding followed by clotting of blood in his torso. The hospital wouldn’t release more info. This fact clears the understanding of the defensive shot to keep himself from another hit and the incident should be described covering the full incident, including his children and wife.

War Eagle's avatar

Totally agree! The media won’t report this because it destroys their narrative.

A.Jean's avatar

Spot on! The "media" most assuredly does exactly what you wrote!

MSM are nauseating

Judy Radigan's avatar

What perplexes me, she drove the vehicle purposefully and deliberately toward this officer but he isn’t allowed to try to protect himself from death or harm. She was obstructing law enforcement. Shame on media and especially Fox for not correcting the facts.

ron's avatar

And when it comes right down to it, it doesn't really matter whether she intended to run him over. All that mattered was that he THOUGHT she was going to. Play dangerous games, win dangerous prizes.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

And was struck by her vehicle !!

A.Jean's avatar

I can't agree...she made contact with the man with her vehicle, her over a ton of metal and rubber, vehicle! That was patently obvious when he was seen to be sliding back and somewhat able to get himself away from further harmful injury!

Because they are protesting, does not give them the right to purposefully angle to attempt to kill another human being with their likely couple of ton moving vehicle! Had Ms. whatsername, survived, she would probably then be suing the Federal Government for a multitude of millions of cold cash! Typical actions by a pompously huge amount of rude mad cow off their rocker pissants!

Julie Kelly's avatar

I agree, Judy. Even if the SUV did not make contact with the officer, which it did at the hands of Renee Good, the shooting appears to be justified because his life was in danger. But the media, Democrats, and Never Trump would rather flat out lie.

Bugstein's avatar

They, the MSM, will keep repeating their “truth” ad nauseum. I am concerned with the inability of some the citizens of MPLS to think for themselves. The constant repetition of the “wrongs “caused by ICE and lifting up the citizens who fight against ICE makes me tired. I try to not read , but the latest and most outrageous keeps creeping into the news. Even if you don’t watch or read MSM it still seeps into everything. My thought on ICE - citizens stay home and out of the way of ICE , so that they can do their job!

JL's avatar

C'mon man!! Don't you know that the oppressing officer is supposed to feel pain at the hands of the oppressed??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You mentioned a GoFundMe for Good. Im curious if anyone started one for Ross & his family who are in hiding?

Judy Radigan's avatar

Yes it was on another app. $600,000 was raised at one point but don’t know if that has changed.

Michael Smith's avatar

Just a hunch but the Approved Media Narrative must strike them as preferable to "Girlfriend Urges 'Drive, Baby Drive!' Into Eternity".....

Moral rectitude? Let’s see, George Floyd/Renee Good as role models for the democrats/MSM. Smart voters who’ve seen this now several times aren’t buying it anymore. It’s just a sign of the moral rot in the democrat party and their mouth breathing enablers in the MSM.

A.Jean's avatar

How about Moral Rectumtude?!

John Hines's avatar

Anybody who's read Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals knows the answer: you tell what ever has the greatest impact on the rubes. Imagine how many great salesmen have been lost to leftist politics.

Charles Wemyss, Jr.'s avatar

As that model of moral rectitude Rahm Emanuel so duly noted, never let a good crisis go to waste. Or in the case of the main stream legacy media never let the facts get in the way of a good story. News flash to MSM especially print media you’re baby boomer market is quite literally dying off. Have fun in the semis against th likes of Nick Shirley…

If you havent heard Joyce Vance and the rest of the left, they characterize the incident as "A mother dropped her kid off and was murdered".

I'm going to be consistent on this one because I was one who felt Ashli Babbitt incident was awful policing (avoidable). And the officer who shot her should never be licensed to carry a gun again.

They say the first rule in those incidents is to "create distance". That officer in the Capitol should have backed up (like other officer on scene), barked/shouted his orders and only shot if Ashli rushed him.

I take position that the Renee shooting was probably avoidable too, probably a little bit overzealous gun handling.

But Gutfeld (FOX) i thought had a fair analogy. People who chase/poke sharks, alligators, lions etc... occasionally lose their lives.

ICE officers are doing horribly hard work in horrible circumstances with protesters (rioters) walking line of assault on them and tormenting them. There will be incidents in those types of circumstances.

This woman didn't deserve to die, but she made some very bad decisions that day, put herself in harm's way, and now she's dead.

She manufactured the whole scene. That's on her.

Stay Strong USA's avatar

Agreed. Her and her wife made horrible decisions. And unfortunately got a horrible outcome.

A.Jean's avatar

I vote that Ms. Vance discover a FAFO moment of her own with a couple tons of metal and rubber angling at her...BUT, that she is able to navigate out of concussion range of said "metal and rubber".

Then, I'm betting that her head of hair will be precisely less thick and likely a lot more gray/white. Serves her right to mouth off and suffer the consequences of her choice to be such a dumb as F Dumocrat!

Stay Strong USA's avatar

Vance has gone off the deep end - no remaining shreds of objectivity left in her.

I watched one of her video streams she does now on a daily basis w some other partisan lefty....

She has crazy eyes !!! 🤪 🤪🤪

She has the look of every waking moment now invested in Trump hate and destruction and progressive politics.

A.Jean's avatar

Dolts of the USA unite!

A.Jean's avatar

So, that's why we are hearing the media sometimes mentioning Renee's husband BECAUSE THE GIRLFRIEND becca HAS NO STANDING!

Julie Kelly's avatar

I believe that is the case. And given their brief time together (less than 3 years) and nature of the relationship, I don't see how she's entitled to anything. But we'll see.

Becca and Renee are radical left-wing activists and "shack-up" lesbians. They were not married. They could not legally share the same last name. They were in the streets of Minneapolis to obstruct justice, taunt and ridicule federal agents who were doing their jobs. They were there to commit direct physical violence on these agents so the agents could not enforce the laws of the United States.

The particular justice that Becca and Renee and the others were obstructing is the justice to bring rule-of-law accountability to the criminal Somali migrants and to their partners-in-crime. Their partners-in-crime are the Democrat Party office holders in Minnesota and the bureaucrats in Minnesota state government.

That is what this entire Minneapolis street violence is all about: Preventing the wheels of justice from turning such that the criminals are arrested, indicted, prosecuted and imprisoned. The criminals are the Somali's who committed the fraud, the criminal Democrat office holders who enabled them and the bureaucrats in state government. They acted in concert to steal tens of billions of our tax dollars. Let me say that again: "They acted in concert to steal tens of billions of our taxpayer dollars."

But these facts are known to everyone in the country. And I mean EVERYONE. The radical leftists in the streets of Minneapolis are being paid to create an alternate reality about Becca and Renee. They are trying to terrorize us all such that they get their Big Lies to take root in the national zeitgeist. But the Big Lie game no longer works very well. The effort to create an alternate reality through propaganda and Big Lies is beginning to fail. But the radical left has a Plan B. Plan B is to send their for-hire street goons to the streets to burn down the county, terrorize us all, and stoke the fires of hatred. The next step after that is already underway. That step is to launch a devastating nation-destroying civil war.

The far-left vermin out there in fake news land are pumping out Big Lies and propaganda desperately trying to create the absurd narrative that these street goons are actually heroes. The fake news media, by which I mean CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNow, the New York Times, The Washington Post, and all urban newspapers are nothing more than propaganda distributors for the corrupt American-hating Democrat Party political machine. And again. EVERYONE in the country knows this.

No one on either side is trying to persuade others to accept a particular moral argument. The time for persuading and arguing has long-past. What's actually going on right now in the fake news media, on internet sites, on YouTube and among us at home is this: An effort by both sides to get each us of choose its side in the coming civil war. You can be on the side of traditional rule-of-law American Constitution or you can be on the side of Democrat Party, anti-American, Bolshevik -totalitarians. But you can't be on both sides and you can't refuse to choose.

You can be sure that the Democrat Party crime syndicate is going to incite a civil war. It is absolutely inevitable and will probably begin in earnest sometime this summer. We each are going to be forced to choose a side. Absent a nation-destroying civil war, the leftists and the Democrats lose power and to prison. I will choose the rule-of-law traditional constitutional America side and I will fight in whatever way becomes necessary. To the death if necessary.

The anti-American Democrat Party political machine is hell-bent on starting a civil war in an effort to divert attention away from its crimes. There is nothing we can do to stop it. The Democrats and left have a fifty-million strong army consisting of welfare dependent illegal aliens, three generations of dolts indoctrinated in Democrat Party public schools, and imbecilic elites inside most every American institution. And they are preparing for war.

Choose your side wisely.

Well said, Brent! Yes, we noticed how quickly the escalating scandal related to Somali fraud disappeared from the headlines as soon as this incident occurred. Walz, Frey, and the media were only too happy to pivot away from the matter to this. Won't last for much longer however.

Marlan Hoerer's avatar

Follow the money , maybe a crockumentary in the works ? The media needs to keep things stirred up so no one talks about the fraud the Mimimalia democrats are involved in. SHHHHHHHHH

Julie Kelly's avatar

HAHA crockumentary. Love it, Marlan.

“why not just use the proper term for Becca Good, which is “partner?”

Not quite- friend is the correct description unless they went for the “ partner “ paperwork.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Still working on that. Don't know if the partner registry is publicly available but we are researching it.

According to Pam Blondi, those prosecutors were fired. They did not resign.

A.Jean's avatar

Either way...GOOD RIDDANCE!

Julie Kelly's avatar

Good point. She did say that, I hadn't seen her interview when I wrote this piece. But I think it's important to point out they did resign (although they asked to use up vacation time before official resignation date) over the investigation into Becca Good and other related immigration issues.

Based on recent history, I'm sure MN will scrupulously follow all appropriate estate law, and ensure rebecca and her attorneys aren't unjustly enriched.
