Gratifying, indeed. Now the hard work begins by making sure weak Republicans get a spine.

With recognition to Little River Band for the official Jack(ass) Smith theme song: "Have you heard about the Lonesome Loser? He's a loser, but he still keeps on trying." I know the song is 45 years old, but it applies so well to the situation. It correctly describes that guy's entire career!

While it seems to some that moving forward and letting "by gones be by gones", is the best plan, the infection of persecution as lawfare will continue to fester if there is no accountability.

I absolutely agree that it's time for celebration, Julie, as this unconstitutionally appointed loser of a special prosecutor gets slapped down once again. I'm so hopeful that Trump 47 will go after each and every one of the execrable excuses for human beings. It will be necessary for the Inside-the-Beltway-Establishment-Statists-RINO's to grow a spine (I cleaned-up that reference for the faint hearted) and be very vigilant in describing the difference between accountability and retribution. Trump 47's Attorney General should investigate, take before a grand jury (in a location other than Moscow-on-the-Potomac) to seek indictments, arrest, mug shot and send them through the legal morass that they forced Trump 47 to endure. Put them through the legal wringer and force them to go bankrupt defending themselves. And then convict and throw them in prison. The next several years will continue to be very enjoyable to observe.

Yes, Karlan, I do take at face value promises to hold Smith and his team accountable. I have heard he is very nervous, so that's a good sign. But as always, leave it to the GOP to screw things up!

It's really going to have to be up to the DOJ to sort these things out. Nothing will come of Congressional hearings - nothing ever does. It isn't like Trump to legally pursue his adversaries - think Hillary - but he may have to with Smith, who was particularly vicious, if for no other reason than to simply forestall any further harassment. I predict Smith will face prison time or, at the very least, be disbarred.

Could they raid their attorneys offices? The FBI raided, three of Trumps attorneys offices. So much for Attorney-Client privilege. Than a judge ordered one of Trumps lawyers to turn over all documents relating to his interactions with Trump, Chutkan I believe did that. Attorney-client privilege be damned.

Julie Kelly's avatar

All of the documents related to both cases should be maintained at DOJ. Senators Johnson and Grassley sent Garland a preservation letter a few weeks ago. And the judge who pierced attorney-client priv between Trump and Evan Corcoran was Beryl Howell, the Obama appointed, Trump-hating witch who should be impeached.

President Trump being re-elected President the 47th President was the stake into the heart of those who sought his demise like, Mueller, Jack Smith, Adam Schiff, Obama, Biden, Clinton, RINO's and other scoundrels.

It took the American people some time to vote their verdict on these vile bastards but we did !

Hope they spend a lot of time looking over their slumped shoulders.

And a longer, harder, deeper, and rougher boot to the ass for the entire Democrat/Leftist/Liberal/Progressive/MainstreamMedia/Deep State and Deep Deep State army of blatant lying arrogant and conceited mongrel cur dogs is in order as well!

I think that a very long month in the stocks/pillory is in order for all of them which of course includes a full array of ungrateful slimey gutter rats like Pelosi, Biden, Harris, Newsom, the Soros family including Huma Abedin, Schumer, Nadler, Raskin, Goldman, Crocket, Waters, OAC and her posse of squad bints plus all of the judges and lawyers Chutkan, Engoron, massive ego Juan Merchan and his entire family, James and Bragg, Willis and Wade, the Secretaries of State of numerous states, all of the dumb as F "View" crap mouth fish talking pissants, the turncoat lying loudmouthed RINO'S of Kinsinger and the Cheney family ever losing maniacs!

I'd like to be first in line to begin the pitching of rotten food in their decrepit faces! And yes, I am biased!

BTW Matthew Graves gets a special mention along with his partner in crime Tanya Chutkan and that special slime Muriel Bowser, for all of their inhumane treatment of all and every single person they have gleefully prosecuted in every possible negative fashion for all persons they gave a label of J6er to with their incredibly sick prosecution for January 6, 2021 attendance and patriotism in Washington DC.

The Republican House and Senate should make a special point to bring all of these gutter rats to a full recognition of true lawyering and incarceration with little to no dignity as they gave our patriots none!

I have a crisp new $5 bill that says jack smith (nor any of these other traitors) will spend one day in jail. It’s just not….going….to…happen. As soon as I see a swat team at Jack Smith’s door at 6am, then I will know that the republicans are serious. Unfortunately, congressional Republicans have always been more likely to shoot themselves in the foot than hold Dems accountable

You are probably right, Kevin. Especially if any proceedings happen in DC--think of Michael Sussmann getting off his charge related to FISAgate. But as they like to say--the process is the punishment. The thought of Jack Smith and Jay Bratt coming up with six figures to retain a criminal defense attorney should put a smile on our faces.

Being dropped “without prejudice,” we know what they have in mind. The NEw York case will end up the same way.

The Bondi Justice department needs to clean house, and do some real old fashion honest investigations.

The court process is supposed to be neutral. That's why Lady Justice wears a blindfold.

People like Smith, Bragg, Le-tit-ia, and Fani ripped the blindfold off. Le-tit-ia even campaigned on getting Trump. Is that even legal?

It is amusing, Wayne, the see the hopium on the Left actually thinking this case can be revived in January 2029. These are absurd people who spend day and night fantasizing about Trump going to jail. And now their dreams are shattered but they still entertain the twisted fantasy that Trump will be imprisoned on these bogus charges.
