Is it not possible to place the ignorance of Justice Sotomayor up in lights so that the country can clearly see she is one dumb and duplicitous agent placed on the bench to ruin this nation? She should be removed either by a tsunami or ridicule or through a deep investigation of her nomination showing fraud and duplicity.

It’s truly stunning that someone of her low intelligence and integrity is on the highest court.

This is well written and worth the time to read it. People’s interpretations of the 14th amendment really don’t matter, it’s what the law says.

I find it sorry that a member of SCOTUS finds it necessary to parse sentences, which in turn, convolutes the meaning when stating historical precedent.

John’s granular argument is so convincing—as someone who never really thought twice about birthright citizenship until recently, I think his essay is required reading.

But isn't that typical for Democrat weasels?

Thanks for posting this amazingly education piece from John Eastman, Julie. All it indicates is something that I have known for years, which is that Justice Sotomayor is one of the dumbest Supreme Court Justices ever nominated and confirmed by the Unites States Senate. Although she has stiff competition from the most recently nominated and confirmed Supreme Court Justice. I believe it's safe to conjecture that their combined IQ doesn't even come close to double digits. And to think that they will be on SCOTUS until they retire or die...

Tragic we are saddled with both for the foreseeable future. The only upside is they both succinctly represent the ignorance and dishonesty of the Left for all to see.

Rumor has it that she is being controlled..it amazes me that these justices think they are there to vote their opinion or feelings. When they took their oath and accepted the judgeship, they were brought under protecting, defending and following the constitution. But as a lot of lawyers, they do not know constitutional law. And I wonder IF they ever read the constitution or were taught the constitution in law school. Surprisingly, most are not.

Unfortunately, I have determined for many years that J. Sotomayor does judge from an emotional perspective frequently, rather than law, facts, and historical precedent. A slight difference from low IQ, but nonetheless interfering with justice.

She did admit she often cries in her office after proceedings that don’t go her way. Should be enough to bounce her off the court but we’re stuck with her for at least another decade.

A very good reason to not have a female President. Maybe one day, but it will be a conservative woman, not a lefty woman who rules on emotion.

Liberal women generally have the temperament of a 13-year-old girl. They never really mature emotionally

Dumb or duplicitous? I vote for the latter willful ignorance on the Supreme Court is not an option.

Oops I inadvertently sent my message too soon. As always Julie your stories are interesting to read and thank you for your great journalism! So now what will happen?

Thanks for your support, Carrie! This will eventually make its way to SCOTUS and they will have to decide on the merits of the case (whether Citizenship Clause confers automatic US citizenship to all babies born here) probably next year.

Leave it to the food blogger with a PACER account to invite the disbarred and disgraced Professor John Eastman to bloviate on a subject that everyone knows to be a lost cause.

Birthright citizenship is baked in the cake, much like 1512(c)(2) obstruction of an official proceeding!

Well, doncha no! Maybe just maybe Julie is right and they could all be wrong again!

Love your work, Julie; especially when you get one to the best lawyers (not named Shipley, BARF!) to weigh in on an important matter!
