When is the republican controlled Senate and House going to take action to impeach this rogue dishonest judge? Where is Chief Justice Robert’s and why is he allowing this judge to continually go after President Trump? He should be removed from the bench immediately and throughly investigated. Stop allowing this immediately!

And there is the little matter of the Secret Service who literally/apparently ignored the whole situation. When is whoever is in charge of the USSS going to put somebody who knows how to kick ass in charge?

Head in the sand. There is just no excuse for such a dramatic shift in that courthouse related to pretrial detention. Dana is the a prime example of someone who should be behind bars given his history and penchant for violence. I don't care how many GPS monitors they have, probation services doesn't care where these people are. Totally reckless.

WE, We might, but not sure. I had several freshmen courses at Haley. Math, Chemistry & Physics during freshman & soph. years in the shared building a walk down the slope from Haley. All of my engineering classes were in Ramsey, Wilmore and finally Ross.

I haven’t been back in 20-years. Photos show lots of new buildings. AU was finally able to get some $$ to build.

Correction: My statement above re a close relationship between Roberts and Boasberg is INCORRECT.

A (paywalled) NYT article, “Trump’s Least Favorite Judge Has Friends in High Places” 8/7/25, does note a close relationship between SCOTUS Justice Brent Kavanaugh and Boasberg in the article’s visible byline.

Call me cheap, but I’m not interested in signing up & paying the NYT to read this article.

There’s been a fair number of “likes” re my original post. I would be grateful for any anyone willing to investigate the ties that bind Kavanaugh and Boasberg. I could imagine them being bud’s in prep school, law school, wedding groomsmen, etc.; but best not to speculate too much.

Sadly it is not just Dem judges doing the damage. GOP judges in DC for the most part are in lockstep with their Dem colleagues (especially on the district court) but yes, Obama appointees are the most problematic. He must be loving this.

The crime of assassinating a President would have impacts in every part of the Nation, every judicial district. Charge the threateners in ND Texas.

Likewise threatening an ICE officer, who is enforcing our entire border. Bring them before a grand jury in northern Idaho.

Unfortunately it is up to judges to decide on venue change motions. Even in J6 cases, every judge denied change of venue motions and that was upheld by DC appellate court (and one Trump judge in fact.)

Yes, you're correct Julie.

I'm saying that since the ham sandwich is more indictable in DC than a leftist, take future offending leftists to some other part of the country to be charged. J6ers stood no chance in DC, these wackos should be taken to where they will stand no chance.

So, these seditious power abusing Democrats on the bench let these criminals go because they have mental health problems and none of them ask themselves the question:

"Can you name any perpetrator of presidential assassination or attempted assassination that was of sound mind?"

It seems to be a very good case to impeach Boasberg simply for gross incompetence.

The same people who complained that jury nullification was a bad thing have now witnessed, along with all the sane people, a case of jury nullification.

Then we have the moronic dumb-ass, Judge James Boasberg, who allowed a person that threatened murder of a public official to go free. I guess he thought there wasn't enough evidence.

I would swear that Boasberg is related to that Chief Justice from Brazil (Moraes); they look enough like twins. And their minds are equally corrupt.

Our politicians have gutted our country of what everyone in the world admired in the United States.

It’s not only the political appointments of political judges, it’s Congress’s utter and complete failure to deliver oversight of the agencies that are under their jurisdiction. I have never heard of an audit, a dismissal or reduction of money to any department or NGO where Congress has oversight.

We are off the tracks and corralling it in is like hugging a lava lamp. Having the Senate to be the Arbiter of competence for District/Federal judges and the agencies guarantees that justice is only a recommendation and no longer the endgame.

Julie’s article highlights a single Judge with unfettered power until it’s struck down by an Appellate Court (still political) or the Supreme Court (still political). Yet, we live in a conundrum where we believe it will change on its own volition and that unto itself is the definition of “insanity”.
