I thought that the role of the judge in a criminal case is to ensure a fair trial. It appears that Judge Chutkan is determined not only to deprive the defendant of a fair trial, but to further the prosecution’s goal of interfering in the election. As for Smith, he should never be entrusted with the power to prosecute anyone, let alone a presidential candidate.

Jack (dirt bag) Smith should just go back to The Hague and face the music there.

Boy howdy. You’ve said a mouthful here:

“It is hard to think of anything more unfair not just to Trump but to the American people than a one-sided paper trial led by a known loser (Jack Smith) and presided over by an unrepentant judicial hack (Chutkan) during arguably the most consequential presidential election in history with one candidate unable to publicly respond.”

The only ones salivating will be the already Trump hating crowd of evil media. Their job will be to convince the undecideds not to vote for Trump. This seems to always backfire on them. Im strongly hoping that will be case here. Not going to panic, I truly believe God is watching and will serve these fools their due. Stay strong MAGA and don’t flinch. We can do this.

I think most people except for the exceptionally brain addled strip haters are going to ignore the whole thing. And the Supremes if they ever see this thing are going to laugh this loser out of court. Chutkan also. She is a joke for a judge and unless a Democrat is elected/appointed/installed in 2025 she is going nowhere. Ever. And if I Republicans becomes the Chief Judge of her circuit she will be consigned to the Federal equivalent of traffic court. Trust me there are ways to make that happen, too. Dream on honey. You’re going to be a judicial pariah.

I agree it’s a shame, but I do not think it will have the effect they want except for the deadenders who can’t let go of Jan 6. As we get away from the manufactured hysteria and people recognize the lies - many do - and the persecution of DONALD Trump continues the sympathy goes to him. Their “evidence” so called whatever it is is nothing more or less than what they have already leaked or fabricated. A huge majority - I think - will not believe it. Jack Smith is looking more and more like an unhinged , illegal maniac who should not even be doing anything as special prosecutor. He’s already been found to be illegally appointed by one court and I don’t understand why Donald’s lawyers in DC don’t file the same motion citing the judgment of the Florida federal court. That would kick everything upstairs. Now. But, we’ll see. I’ve been a lawyer in all kinds of courts, state and federal and I’ve never seen a court do what Chutkan is allowing Smith to do with his brief going first on a motion to dismiss. Completely crazy. Whatever reputation she may have ever had her only reputation now will be as a shill for the Democrats administration. I wouldn’t 5ru a dog bite case in front of her. And I don’t think anyone else will either.

And while just another ploy people will see what this is and instead of hurting Trump I think it will help him. Fingers crossed. We need to stop these maniacs from destroying the justice system and the country. #prayforDonaldTrump.

My first thought was 180 pages? People are not going to read it (only the nerds like me will take the time). My second thought is that Trump’s attorney’s need to get their response out immediately, starting and ending with everything that is favorable to their client. It needs to be short, concise, and to the point. Or perhaps even rebutting Jack’s points, so people think they can skip the 180 page brief.

When I first read this schedule on another stack, I was shocked that the SC was writing the first brief since the indictment itself was the first volley, w/ the defendant responding. Chutkan is right that this is irregular, and that might be quoted by the defense attorneys.

Here we go again, Julie, as this unprecedented and unconstitutional Soviet-Show-Trial presided over by the chosen Marxist-wearing-a-black-robe inside Moscow-on-the-Potomac. I can't help but wonder what that Marxist's grades were when she attended law school, named after her hero, J. Stalin, in the Soviet Union. Because she's certainly old enough to have caught the dying embers of the Soviet Union, don't you think? If not, she most certainly has made up for lost time in her research into Stalin's Show Trials, because the only thing that missing in this scenario is for former (and future, God willing) President Trump to have plead guilty two years ago long before this travesty of justice began. And, to think, now the utterly corrupt DOJ has the balls and is warning of Russian interference in November's Presidential election! No entity on the planet could have interfered more that the DOJ has done already. The the skulls-full-of-mush and the low information voters are too damned dumb to recognize what's happening and will swallow the propaganda hook-line-and-sinker. At the risk of being redundant, all we can do is pray and vote for President Trump in November.

No, his ability to practice law as a Special Counsel requires either a law passed by Congress with Senate confirmation, or for the case to reach a court where Cannon’s ruling has authority. Or Garland could fire him.

As Jack Smith proceeds in his never ending quest to finally get a win, he proceeds the January 6 case against former President Trump, with his favorite in-his-pocket puppet Judge, Eileen Chutkan. One wonders how this incompetent and out of control Special Counsel continues this no-win case when he will once again be overturned 9-0 by SCOTUS. On top, he and da Judge will be dragged through hot coals by SCOTUS as they proceed in this fruitless endeavor.

Like this entire Administration, they are just a horror show where they keep getting murdered, but just keep coming back for more. The EPA just smacked all over for overreach for its "Good Neighbor" against energy producing states, and the Chevron ruling gets the boot, but this month, the EPA issues a disastrous emissions mandate against power plants which its cripple our energy generation. Like all of the actors in the Biden-Harris power hungry agencies, we have a rouge DOJ department that has gone off the rails and not only gets a kick in the ass on misuse of the Enron ruling against January 6 defendant Joseph Fischer, and now Garland who can't wait to find and destroy anyone in the Capitol that a day, whether in the Capitol or not, are still being hunted down. He's been dragging people into court over the last 4 years, but the 300+ people he illegally charged? They're still reviewing the cases. This is the incompetent leadership we have lived with which runs on fear, intolerance, and chaos. And Jack Smith is the poster child for an Administration that has tried and done great damage to this country for its own unquenchable reach for absolute power. And Harris is the poster child for an out of control radical, who was raised in Marxism, and lies as easily as she breathes. If she wins, we will all lose, and Jack Smith? DOJ?

I wasn't aware that God stepped aside and coronated Judge Chutkan. She seems to think because she wear a black robe that the laws don't apply to her. She's a queen and no one can touch her because she disrespects the law treating it as a spare roll of Charmin to wipe her ass with. And her flunkie Plunger boy Smith is nothing less than a floater. A multitime loser at the supreme court you'd think he would have learned from his overreach. Or why hasn't he lost his law license the way he seems to share the roll of Charmin.

Trump hater one and Trump hater two don't care about the law.

I'm not a lawyer, and I don't play on on TV, but I still contend that anyone who peacefully entered their tax paid for Capitol, on Jan 6 after being allowed inside by a uniformed Capitol police officer DID NOT Trespass. If that were the case anyone who enters a courtroom, allowed in by a uniformer officer of the court would be subject to trespassing.

When the legal system wants to get you they just TRUMP up charges using things like obstruction.

A jail sentence for these people like Chutkan, Smith, et al would send a certain message to adhere to the law and not abuse it.

I've thought that the withholding of video evidence should have been enough for a charge of prosecutorial misconduct and having the charges dropped. The videos from inside the Capitol were potentially exculpatory evidence.

Does it give you pause that Tucker Carlson was showing the videos and look at where he is now. I believe there was a lot more to the dominion case than we've heard about. I love Fox News but the triple TTT's (the turds with the titles at the top) pulled a fast one. Surely CNN and MSNBC would have been gloating and running stories nonstop but it was just a blurb.

I believe that Jess Waters was starting to show the videos, if memory serves, but that was short lived.

When everything comes out in the wash the fact that the J6 cases were horrendously mishandles should land those in the legal system that did it to getting their own just comeuppance.
