Sassoon is yet but another Sally Yates professing that her (bias) knowledge and integrity makes her judgment superior to the elected President who we voters so foolishly selected. She and others are resigning not out of principle, but to escape the public wrath when their backhanded mischief is revealed. Same ol’ song and dance. So sick of these liars.

The Yates comparison is perfect. A place holder assuming great power to do damage in a short amount of time. Please see my reply to Mike above.

I wanted to share this thread by Mollie Hemingway. An excellent breakdown of the fallacies and misrepresentations in Sassoon's letter.

And a little fact that the haters seem to ignore: the case was dismissed without prejudice so can be taken up again after the NYC mayoral elections. Then a real prosecutor can look at the evidence that was gathered and decide to proceed to not.

And just another joyous end to week #4. 516 more to go

I forgot to mention in the piece that Sassoon, who is a TEMP filling that post until Trump's nominee can get confirmed, notified Bondi she planned to bring a superseding indictment against Adams under what Sassoon called "my leadership." What gall.

The SDNY has lost so much credibility the last 10 years. Truly started with not charging DeBlasio on obvious fund raising issues. And then the Weiner laptop fiasco.

In an interview last month with Tucker Carlson, Adams said it’s his belief he was indicted as punishment by Joe Biden for complaining about the failed border policy.

Show me the man (or woman) and I will find the crime or words to that effect, Soviet style DOJ. The worst part is that they think they march on the right hand side of God, or whatever deity or non deity they worship. Mostly, they like Narcissus, longingly stare into their make up mirrors wondering if it is possible for anyone anywhere in the land to be as smart, and beautiful as they, all the while worrying that indeed somewhere out there Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs toil. Apparently Mr. Bove did not spare the rod on the spoiled children when he sent them letters of remonstration and in the main firing their arrogant ass’s. Sadly, it is only the start, but a good start nonetheless the less.

A very good start. And more to come, I am hearing. The rot at the DOJ and FBI is so pervasive and the level of arrogance and infallibility is stunning to see. Bondi, Blanche, and Bove--and Kash Patel--have their hands full.

The left have never forgiven Adams for defeating their darling hard core candidate, the AOC endorsed Maya Wiley. Williams originally brought these charges to assist Tish James in her run for governor and line himself up for New York AG. He was never going to be Harris' AG as that jab was ticketed for Capo di Capo Lisa Monaco, or perhaps her top henchman Mathew Graves if she opted out. Sasson obviously has some 7 figure gig at a white shoe NYC firm all lined up. There are an an innumerable number of Trump hating firms that will bid for her services. The swamp will always take care of its own.

I think a lot of this panic has do to with Kash's pending arrival. He is going to go scorched earth on the FBI and leave no stone unturned. I saw Jack Smith is lawyering up (for free!) and can only imagine the same is true for his team including FBI investigators.

I hate the sanctimony. Where were Sassoon and company when the DOJ and FBI raided Trump’s home or terrorized American citizens for participating in a political rally? Where were they when the DOJ prosecuted a grandmother for peacefully praying outside an abortion clinic? Where were they when the DOJ couldn’t be bothered to prosecute or even find individuals who bombed crisis pregnancy centers? Were they concerned when Merrick Garland equated parents attending school board meetings with terrorists? But, they cannot abide dropping charges against Eric Adams? Give me a break.

I don’t know if the charges against Adams were politically motivated, but it certainly appears that they might be. That’s a problem even if Adams broke laws, but not for Ms. Sassoon. Given President Trump’s experience as a target Biden’s weaponized DOJ, I forgive him if he concluded that Adams’ also was targeted for political reasons. You reap what you sow.

I did a little more digging, Stephen, and it's hard to believe the case was not politically motivated. According to CNN, the bad blood between Biden and Adams spilled over in an Oct 2022 White House meeting where Adams said there was "no leadership" by the president on immigration. Adams then started taking the fight public in 2023.

Damian Williams clerked for Merrick Garland. We are supposed to believe the dirtiest AG in history didn't do Biden's political bidding once again and not reach out to his former clerk to initiate an investigation?

I thought I read that while Adams was in mid-flight to DC to ask for more funding for the migrants they raided his campaign office. This was just after his 'Immigration is going to ruin NY' rant. This stuff reminds me of my old stomping grounds in the Windy City. Richard J. Daley might of had crooked elections but at least he got shit done and built a skyline. Great work Julie !! I agree, Cara. He had a front row seat to DOJ corruption when he represented the president in the docs case in FLA. And I think even he is shocked at the arrogance and partisanship at the department. My guess is this sort of misconduct will only embolden him to do a lot more housecleaning--and internal investigating.

It's hard to say what part of Julie's outstanding reporting I love the most, but high on the list is her willingness to take on the big shots with things like "DOJ bootlickers at National Review and the Wall Street Journal" and calling a spade a spade as in "self-serving, media-whoring exit letters".

Yet they pale in comparison to her dogged persistence in digging deeper when she smells a rat like she consistently did with C19 lies, J6 Fedsurrection and DOJ corruption.

(Not too bad for a lowly food-blogger with a PACER account!)

Worthy of Pulitzers & Nobels, IMO.

Aw, thank you, Pete! That Andy McCarthy column really has me steamed. So now he's going to write a "series" criticizing Bondi's Weaponization Working Group? Where was that "series" over the past four years--when McCarthy mostly justified the politicization of the DOJ? What a fraud.

With our faith in the exceptional American system we expected these days to come. It was a long wait, but we have been rewarded for our diligence and patience. The new leadership are getting the job done after we, the people, took arrow after arrow... and bullet after bullet... and continued to fight for real righteous justice.

I think though we will not have truly defeated this enemy of freedom and liberty until some of their leaders sit in a prison cell for their crimes. Prior to that they need to be bankrupted with legal fees defending themselves.
