Despite the abrupt departure of Joe diGenova as lead prosecutor in the “grand conspiracy” case against Trump lawfare perps, the Justice Department appears to be moving full steam ahead.
If anyone deserves to be in prison it is Brennan. Maybe one day justice will prevail and Brennan will finally be held accountable to all his crimes and law fare against President Trump. We can only hope this will come to fruition.
Thank you, Julie. I was pleased w/DeGenova’s assignment. I would be for the PATIENT and THOROUGH approach!!! Dear Lord, don’t let it get mucked up with political rushiness or worse, carelessness!!
09/14/26: DeG's deflated posture in the photo said it all at the very beginning: "This isn't going to work out." Ands it didn't. Because there can only be ONE leader. And that is Blanche, period. RESULTS, PLEASE.
09/14/26: I am equally remote from insider info but suspect that just plain old bad chemistry ended DiG's enthusiasm. That and I never liked the idea of an 81 year-old anybody getting involved in work that can drain the energy and enthusiasm of someone fifty years younger.
Trump is sometimes his own worst enemy. There is no one in his inner circle who can tell him things he doesn’t want to hear.
I don’t know what happened here. I’m just piecing together past patterns.
I can easily imagine Trump bitching and moaning that DiGenova isn’t moving rapidly enough. No one close to him is going to push back because they know they’ll hear the words “you’re fired. “
A year was lost while Pam Bondi went through the motions of being Attorney General. I’d love to know if Trump ever asks himself who persuaded him to appoint that blonde bimbo.
At this point, time is not the friend of those of us who want to see people go to jail for their crimes.
Disappointing but it could come down to just interpersonal conflicts. Perhaps nothing more than DiGenova with a "don't push me, kid" attitude toward Blanche. I don't care, long as they get their man in the end.
Two investigations, a prosecutor’s resignation, and a records-preservation fight now overlap. Brennan’s lawyer describes a broader Florida conspiracy inquiry alongside a narrower investigation into his congressional statements. His legal team seeks preservation of government records that could support a future claim of selective or vindictive prosecution. DOJ opposes the request as speculative because Brennan has not been charged yet. Joe DiGenova’s departure adds a dispute over management and prosecutorial judgment. Brennan needs to face the music.
Thanks for the update Julie . That was a cryptic teaser of a post and all I got out of that was diGenova was pouting that he didn't get his way. Hoping for positive news soon
diGenova (and never trust someone with a last name beginning with a lower-case letter), sounds to me like the typical overly cautious, worried about his reputation, type of bureaucrat lacking the correct sense of scope and urgency for the assignment.
I hope you're right, but I continue to believe that Blanche was a horrible choice and this throws gas on my expectations that once confirmed he'd resume being the blocker in chief he was under Bondi. You got me to back off, as I respect your contrary expectations. Prove me wrong again, please.
This appears as another step in the extend-and-pretend phase of this investigation. I guess it's going to extend until almost every relevant witness is unable to recall anything related to the facts of the case.

Not prison. Hanging. With vultures eating his rotting flesh.
Clarification: I wrote that because you used the word “deserves.” Sadly, in terms of US law, all he can get is prison.
And before everyone that wants to celebrate the event is able to remember the reason for the execrable Brennan going to prison.
Times wasting guys. I know it is not easy putting a case together but we’re going to run out of time so get it on. Please.

I know nothing about these things but my guess is his ego was not being sufficiently stroked

I hope this was all just ego driven by all concerned. Too many chefs in the kitchen spoil the broth.
