How many times has the Supreme Court slapped Jack Smith down? Why does he still have a law license? Keeping so many things secret and redacted, reminds me of the transparency in the JFK files. 60 years later and we still don't know the whole truth.

In the New York case, I haven't seen a check to Stormy-just checks to Cohen. And if Stormy took the money, breached the NDA, did she give the money back?

And when at long last will Alvin Bragg make a ham sandwich just so he can indict it?

If Trump doesn't have immunity, neither do any of the other past presidents.

Congress has complete immunity to lie their asses off if they're on the house or senate floor. Remember Harry Reid, lying that Romney hadn't paid his taxes in ten years? Untrue but Reid had immunity. I think he actually meant Hunter Biden.

Obama , "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor." How many people did he lie to? Can they all file a class action lawsuit against him because he lied to get HIS legislative agenda passed?

He was telling the truth because all of the democrats who carved themselves out of Obama Care got to keep their doctors.

This a pandora's box that should not be opened.

If a regular person can be charged with a crime, so can a sitting president. Murder e.g. and so forth. No one (outside Hunter) is above the law. There are ways to get rid of a president for wrongdoing and it's called impeachment. Trump had TWO FAKE impeachments. Too bad that fraud McConnell didn't wave them off the way Schumer did the one for Mayorkis. Shows the cut of his jib.

Very well said!

I think the DoJ should return to sender Jack Smith back to The Hague. It was pretty great how one of the Justices questioned the veracity of why Jack Smith has had the appointment to be the "Special Prosecutor" from the get go which flies in the face of that snake (or lying worm if that sounds better) Merrick Garland!

That justice was Clarence Thomas. Apparently Trump's lawyer responded that they had filed a motion to dismiss based upon that argument in the Florida court. Finally.

James Thomas, thank you so much for clarifying that. It makes all sorts of sense that Clarence Thomas would be so on point!

It's about blasted time that a highly appointed learned person would present such a valid and topical point at this time about Jack Skeletor Smith.

The purpose of law enforcement cannot be to find or manufacture reasons to prosecute one person, let alone a person who is the leading candidate for president. It is disheartening that there is so little pushback against these political prosecutions. The media, instead of speculating whether partisan prosecutors can convince a tainted jury pool that the man they oppose in the presidential race, should be convicted for actions that they describe as crimes, but no one has ever considered a crime, should be talking about the abuses of power and interference in the election. Thankfully, the Supreme Court and Judge Cannon appear to see the truth, but the process remains the punishment.

This has been my question. How can it be that all reputable and respected attorneys and attorneys general are not speaking out about the abusive indictments. There are some who are now beginning to speak out about the validity of the various Trump cases. But it is too little, too late. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Our justice system is in serious trouble.

There is a group called, "Project 65," that claims to be a bi-partisan organization but is in fact a collection of progressives and "Never Trumpers" that attempt to get anyone having anything to do with Donald Trump and his defense, dis-barred. It' is one of the reasons that Trump has difficulty getting lawyers with national reputations on his team.

The bar associations in most states are dominated by progressive trial lawyers....and so it goes. Dims control the legal system and little Georgy Soros pulls their strings.

She seems to be playing the Judge John Sirica role from Watergate days. Won't allow the gov. attorneys to get away with withholding information. Me thinks she smells a rat or something rotting in Denmark.

I'm glad you put the note about Laurnece Tribe being a self-described Constitutional expert. Because he is more appropriately an expert in creating straw-man arguments, as he has to twist the details of every argument he proffers to make it fit his incoherent explanation of what the law should be, rather than what it is. Him calling himself a Constitutional expert is akin to referring to Billy the Kid as a firearms expert just because he killed 21 people with a gun.

Laurnece Tribe is an embarrassment to the Judicial system plus to all the honest & brilliant Jewish lawyers who have sworn the oath

Jack Smith consistently reminds me of the gangster murderers of the French revolution. Grim, dark-minded and appearing to be driven entirely by hatred and self-interest. That's just what he looks like. I would never want to see his soul. yee!

Progressives see the French Revolution as the important one. They pretended to be practicing direct democracy. Our founders warned against mob rule and as if written into script, along comes Robespierre and his, "Reign of Terror," to prove the point. Butchers!!!

Julie, thanks for this, especially the laugh produced by your sentence containing the six letter "v" word. You're fearless.

I would love to read all the previously sealed material that Judge Cannon has unsealed. How can I find them?

Thanks for helping maintain my sanity in an increasingly unhinged world.

Drop mic. walk slowly off stage...Jack Smith should be disbarred! Throw Garland in for good measure. Every time ya turn a page in this story, another outrageous misuse of power and the clearer it becomes that the Biden White House is playing fast and loose with people's rights and the justice system as a whole. Insurrection? Look there, you can see the old reprobate stumbling through yet another day of, insurrection.

Thanks for this cogent summation of three terribly important cases being overseen by Marxists-wearing-black-robes in their Soviet-Show-Trials, Julie. It appears that the antics of the Stasi-style-Secret-Police inside, and outside, Moscow-on-the-Potomac are just about to blow-up in their collective faces. As Muhammad Hussein Osama continues to operate the strings which cause Chi-Com Joe to move, and his extremely detailed lawfare pursuit of former (and future) President Trump continues to collapse, one cannot help but wonder what will be next? Stalin's proteges continue to fail at every opportunity much to chagrin of the trained Socialist-Activist-Jouranalists-Propagandists who inhabit the PR Department, also known as the Mainstream Media. To say this is delicious to observe would be a vast understatement.

"Justice Gorsuch: Let’s say a president leads a mostly peaceful protest sit-in in front of Congress because he objects to a--piece of legislation that's going through. And it, in fact, delays the proceedings in Congress. So a president then could be prosecuted for the conduct I described after he leaves office?"

Excellent point and has the added quality of being really funny. Think he's sending a message?

By the way...so far, Biden has spend 1.4 Trillion since he took office. Think about that. One Trillion is a thousand Billion. One Billion is a thousand Million. And one Million is a thousand thousand.

In my mind, that is an unfathomable amount of OUR TAXES!

And that imbecile thinks that is okay!

Stephanie Clifford (aka Stormy Daniel) has been used and abused by every man that wants to do that to her because she offered herself up for that treatment! And that most certainly includes every single one of the greedy clowns that are currently doing that to her RIGHT NOW. AND that has NOTHING to do with Donald Trump.

She's a bike. She chose to be that type of vehicle. And for some damn reason it seems obvious that she thinks that her allowing the entire Deep State Swamp Turd Massive Faction of Power Junkies to continue to do that, is just adding to the box that Bill Clinton opened up when he classified (I'm going to be nice here) oral sex as having nothing to do with sexual relations at all!

It just pisses me off that pretty much ALL of this goes back to 2 really ugly (almost in any way possible) blasted malignant narcissists that spawned a swarm of incredibly proudly obvious self-absorbed lying incalcitrant excuses for human beings. But, I'm probably incorrect in thinking the the Clinton's should garner all of that responsibility. Someone said that it actually goes back to at least John F. Kennedy and I can see that connection as all too apparent.

Meow!

First off, how does all this secrecy and gag orders square with the right to a public trial? It seems like Smith particularly wants large portions of Trump's trials to be redacted, secret.

Then we have the unconstitutionally broad Mar-A-Lago search warrant, which said "Any goverment and/or Presidential Records created between January 20, 2017, and January 20, 2020." As I understand it, Judge Cannon ruled it unconstitutional, but was reversed on appeal. How the heck did that work? Doesn't the Bill of Rights apply to Trump. If it doesn't, how can we be sure it applies to anyone else?

Expand full comment

"Doesn't the Bill of Rights apply to Trump." Apparently not. Trump should start refusing to pay the fines. They can't jail him. It would expose to the world that we are a police state. They may want to jail him, but if a judge did that an appeals court would have the stay written a waiting for Trumps lawyer before they could get him out of the courtroom. The repercussions would be earth shaking. They would be risking mass violence and sowing the seeds of civil war. They can't afford so direct an assault on the constitution. They would be stuck, ruling not governing, a captive civilization and I think that somewhere in their thick skulls they get that.........of course they are pretty dense....nah....yeah.....nah... 🤷‍♂️
