“They won’t consider the ramifications of branding Americans with whom they disagree politically as ‘terrorists.’”

Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in just a few years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation. Could it be that the reason why America is so rapidly unraveling externally is because it no longer exists as a country internally?

The Democratic Party has become a criminally insane, open borders, globalist, anti-meritocracy, anti-white, hate group. May God curse them for destroying our once great nation. The disastrous failure of the American experiment will drastically alter the course of world history.

Believe it or not, the states are increasingly at war with each other and all states are being ruined by the flood of “migrants” through our open southern border. Actually it does seem that the federal government is actively waging war against all the states. Could it be that our federal government has become insane? Certainly does seem to be the case.

“Our condition is forever precarious; even basic human decency can shatter and vanish in an instant.”

“Maoism had unique traits but Leys nonetheless always saw it as a member of what he called the “great totalitarian family”—ideologies produced by patterns of thought found across human societies, from tiny shipwrecked pre-Enlightenment microcosms to vast 20th century nations.”

Our Federal govt. has NOT become insane; they've become insatiably hungry for power, and they're doing everything they can to take power from the states and exercise that power themselves. We need some Red State governors who will see this and develop the spine to fight back. I believe it would only take 5-6 governors and state Attorneys' General to push back and stop the power grabs.

“Our Federal govt. has NOT become insane; they've become insatiably hungry for power,”

Read up on the ghastly and dreadful history of the twentieth century. Men like Hitler, Stalin and Mao ruled major nations, were insatiably hungry for power and were quite destructively insane. Human nature is severely flawed and periodically societies destroy themselves and others. This time though we have immensely powerful weapons which could bring down our entire global civilization in the event of WW3 which is where we’re rapidly heading.

Tulsi says the democrats are willing to risk nuclear war with Russia to secure Ukraine’s border while ours are wide open because they believe we could beat Russia in a nuclear war. This is wildly and grotesquely insane. I believe the wild card in our future is AI which will change everything. Many say AI is scary but Sleepy Joe and the democrats are far worse. I’d far rather take my chances with AI, not to rule us but to help us avoid self-destruction. This is the purpose of Elon Musk’s “X.AI.”

Thank you, Julie, for your steadfast courage and perserverance. You are sadly a very lonely voice in journalism reporting on this travesty. I hated what happened on January 6th at my beloved Capitol, the centerprice of my career for 40 years, but the injustice in display by DOJ in its aftermath is worse. Much worse.

This just sickens me (as do all these phony "prosecutions"). This young man's family will go through years of living hell because Democrats will do and say ANYTHING to stay in power. God will judge them.

Meanwhile, Julie, YOU are doing God's work - thank you! Just became a (monthly) subscriber; the work you're doing MUST continue. Praying for you, this young man's family, along with the many others being falsely persecuted, and our nation.

This is a tragic testament to just how caustic and malignant the apparatus has become. This young man’s life is placed on the altar of “state-worship” where soulless apparatchiks will plunge the knife.

But, before looking exclusively @ the Left, gaze deeply at the party of Cheney, Romney, McConnell, Pence, et al.

What kind of law enforcers, prosecutors and judges are these that would “just follow orders”...but, with such self-righteous zeal? Well...we have seen this movie before, haven’t we?

Only God can make Hell hot enough for long enough to punish these agents of an evil agenda. They may seem to be getting away with it now, but they're all one breath, one heartbeat away from facing their Creator and Judge.

I pray they would repent and change, but many of them never will - even when confronted by God himself. Revelation 16:9 is - well - quite "revealing":

"The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. THEY DID NOT REPENT AND GIVE HIM GLORY."

It's their choice to repent or face the consequences. But - outside of responding to God's grace - the human heart is exceedingly wicked, and they will not repent, even in the face of their exposed evil.

Once I read a book called "The Question of God" by Armand Nicholi. He was a professor of religion at Harvard who used the book to compare the ideas of Freud, an atheist, to those of C.S. Lewis, a believer. The author said though that although Lewis was a devout Christian he also believed that God has abandoned us in "enemy occupied territory" in a part of the universe that’s Satan's domain. According to the book (p. 205) Lewis said “One of the things that surprised me when I first read the New Testament seriously was that it talked so much about a Dark Power in the universe, a mighty evil spirit who was held to be the Power behind death, disease and sin...we are living in a part of the universe occupied by the rebel...Enemy occupied territory...that is what this world is.”

I like religion but don’t have one in particular so I don’t consider myself Christian. It does seem though that Lewis was right about this. My hope is that AI will save our sinking ship. Hope springs eternal. We will soon see what fate has in store for us.

I am incensed by this article. I doubt that my ancestors who fought for freedom were more incensed. We have an out of control government which uses it's powers to persecute and prosecute dissidents. These idiots weren't even in power on January 6. True Americans, if there are any left, should rise up against these tyrants. Reflecting Donald Trump would be a first step. I fear for my children and grandchildren.

" So, the same FBI which is viciously persecuting these innocent people broke our highest law during the 2020 election cycle.

The government is operating without authority and is therefore illegal and illegitimate and yet what is it that is called extreme? Today it is recognizing and exclaiming facts. J6 was not extreme except, as defined, by those engaging to make it appear to be extreme. Destroying the Capital and government was not the aim of those legitimately protesting. However, if they returned and did so next week, based on the government’s reaction since that day, history would not regard their actions as extreme. Should it be successful then history, written by the victors, would regard it as necessary. And if they were not successful the country would still be populated by those who remain defiant and seek every opportunity to target the illegitimate government and its employees.

Absolutely appalling behavior by the Marxists' who inhabit and staff the federal government's Stasi-style-Secret-Police in Moscow-on-the-Potomac. But, as the Soviet-Show-Trials continue in that disgusting city, it becomes more and more apparent that we truly are living in either a real-life totalitarian state or an alternate universe. The callousness of those despicable creatures who hide behind their toxic social media in our Culture is jaw dropping, to say the least. It reminds me of something I heard for years from Rush when he stated, presciently, that the radical left thinks their opponents are not just wrong but evil. Heartbreaking to watch how protected political speech is now called sedition and has become a rallying cry from the Marxists' who control the Marxist-Democrat-Party with their allies in the PR Department, also known as the Mainstream Media.

I know I'm a broken record on this subject, but we need to negotiate a national divorce while it's still possible to do so peacefully.

Organized street violence in the name of a terrible person (George Floyd) has had a huge negative effect on our national fabric. Imagine what a general strike by 20 million aggrieved conservatives could do.

We should be talking more openly about where our blood-lust politics is taking us, and how we avoid the abyss. Negotiated divorce is the obvious answer.

The obvious but impossible answer. I live in Chicago. How would that work for me. Easy to say “Just move!” but that’s also far easier said than done plus where are the safe places? The collapse of our cities will have a profoundly negative effect on this entire society and even on our whole world which is already quite fragile.

Some excerpts below from a Quillette review of a book about the irrational side of human nature. The last one says: “One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.” That sure is the truth.

“Mackay makes the case, often in gory detail, that episodes of collective mania seem to be an inevitable consequence of human nature. Humans in every time and place have cast aside their better judgment and allowed themselves to be caught up in all manner of irrational hoopla.“

“His chapters on the Swabian Peasants’ War and Anabaptist uprisings are terrifying depictions of the end-times frenzy that wreaked havoc on northern Europe throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The distance between these events in the German-speaking world and, say, the Reign of Terror in France or the Chinese Cultural Revolution is not that great. And the speed with which apparently reasonable people moved from the embrace of a new theological idea to a willingness to torture those whose own theological ideas diverged even slightly is startling.“

“There is plenty to recommend about The Delusions of Crowds. It is laden with great anecdotes and the writing is always engaging. One comes away with the sense that civilization operates on narrow margins and is always on the verge of collapsing into irrationality.”
