More proof the DC courts need to be abolished. Getting a fair trial is virtually impossible, verdicts seem to depend on what political affiliation and race the perpetrators belong too. DC judicial system is broken beyond repair. I have begged Congressional leaders for years to defund the court and impeach a few judges. Republicans refuse to do so, and now have handed control of Trump DOJ-brought cases to radical activists sitting on juries in DC.
Why can't federal cases be tried in other parts of the country? Why are they always in DC where the majority Democrat populace is clearly biased and have TDS? Also, if the whole jury pool is predominantly Democrat, how can any conservative or moderate be tried by a jury of their peers?
JC, DOJ would have to file a change of venue motion listing all the reasons why a fair trial cannot proceed in DC. The presiding judge makes the ultimate decision--and there is not a single judge on the DC District Court who would allow it.
The Trump administration's DOJ has made attempts to prosecute some of these cases in Florida. This has happened with government goons that were involved in the Mar-a-Lago raid. But to do so, there has to be some nexus of the charged crime that took place in an area outside of the Washington, DC district.
Another way is to have an individual state bring criminal charges for violations of the criminal code that took place within their jurisdiction. But then that state's courts are having to charge and try the criminals at their expense, which may not be something that they want to consume their state attorneys with prosecuting.

Yet here he is--TWICE--refusing to exercise his duty and investigate rogue jurors who declare at the jump they will block any jury consensus. Maddening.

It is my understanding that judges have no ability to investigate, but they can and often do request DOJ to do so when misconduct is detected. In this case (it's in DC) I have little to no hope that the judge would make the request, so I intentionally asked it in the way I did. I'll now try to be more clear...
Is there anything that would prevent the DOJ from investigating this obvious crime lacking a judicial request? Seems to me that is their job, the fact that it happened in a courtroom should not matter, IMO.
The likelihood of anything to punish these wayward jurors through a Senate filibuster is just about the same as the sun rising in the west. I hope I'm wrong but I don't really think so.

We all are well aware that approximately 95% of the inhabitants of DC voted for the female Communist in the 2024 Presidential election, and that they most certainly comprise an integral segment of the Deep State. Therefore, I doubt very seriously that the grand jury needed to be convinced not to convict the activists for the crimes that were committed in DC. And this begs the question of how they were indicted in the first place? This is simply another example of how corrupted DC became during the previous several decades. And is another reason to drain the swamp.

I overheard one woman in the security line say this was her FOURTH time being called for jury duty. They were begging to serve on J6 juries. A truly sick place.
These two mistrials for violent MS-13 criminal thugs demonstrates how our society is collapsing into chaos and ruin. Unless judges find a way to hold these radical political activists who have lied their way onto a jury, the future for law and order is very grim indeed. The current remedy is to keep retrying when one of these radical nut-ball activists lie their way onto a jury.
