Except as Julie Kelly pointed out, there is a good chance that nothing in terms of criminal justice will be coming to him. Burning through much of his personal assets to cover legal expenses will be the only thing guaranteed to happen to Smith. We are better off to hope he will lose whatever reputation he has as well as getting a permanent and ignominious place in history.

If anyone deserves prosecution it is Smith. Some sources say he spent over 50 million of taxpayers money to go after Trump. I would love to see Smith hit with the same charges he brought against Trump: conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government and conspiracy against rights. If the DOJ can find coordination between Smith and the Biden White House, that would implicate them in a conspiracy to rig the 2024 election using a fraudulent “independent” special council investigation.
