I think the sentencing date was moved back due to the need to remove from the case and trial everything that the President was immune from in 2017, both charges, witnesses, and location like the Oval Office if there was another person in it. I think SCOTUS has to review it. They will review the Jury Instructions, the most damning part of the case, and that there was no unanimous decision on a 2nd crimes. I hope that the slimmed down facts will reduce the sentence to a fine for the 34 misdemeanors.
Your of the opinion that this case has something to do with the law. I have a different opinion. My take is this was initially about nailing Trump for a bogus crime. Once Merchan got the case it turned into a money grab for his daughter that continues to this day. I have no idea how he will rule, but I'm convinced the delay in sentencing, is to prolong the grift.
I cannot conceive of how these democrats including the "judge" (read political hack) conclude that Mr. Trump did anything wrong. But I can conceive of their hatred (we are all sinners) directed at Mr. Trump and in their wickedness manufacture crimes to express their hatred of him. The legal system in those states is debased. The DOJ legal view of MAGA is also debased. Hopefully the American people will clean-out these putrid apples to prevent the use of politics or legal dealings to demonstrate their hatred.
When you watch CNN and MSNBC, what else are you to believe. These networks lie by omission at the very least. I can hardly watch them for five minutes before I want to throw the remote at the TV. The hosts and guests CANNOT actually believe any of their dribble-yet their viewers do.

I’m under no false impression that American jurisprudence occurred in this courtroom. It was Democrats being Democrats, everyone playing a part.
Trump’s attorneys did ask to wait until the Court ruled on the Immunity case before trying this one.
