Todd Blanche in my opinion would be the very best AG we have had in a long time. I’ve watched all of his interviews and press conferences he is very professional and well qualified. He would be a tremendous improvement over the last Administrations AG, Garland was the worst AG in our history. The people against him are scared, and must have something to hide. Blanche should be confirmed ASAP, he is very worthy of draining the swamp!!

Julie Kelly's avatar

I agree, WE! I consider him the unlikely AG--he does have prosecutorial experience but definitely a different kind of hybrid than the usual suspects (including Trump's past picks.)

07/16/26: Blanche is afraid of nothing. Equally encouraging: Rubio, Vance, Hegseth and many others who in their service to the country have been fearless warriors.

IF these ex-DOJ fools and accomplices were somewhat intelligent, they'd lay low and let us forget who they are (worse, who they were).

By constantly wailing, they’re HELPING Trump. Reminding us of all the AutoPenBiden-associated felonies. Much easier now to recall what they did.

Julie, can we create a DOJ Photo Hall of Shame on your site for these creatures, plus others in your past illustrious columns who have so repeatedly disgraced themselves?

Nothing elaborate: Photo. Name. Time In Office. Date Left DOJ / Fired.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Great idea, Don! We need a DOJ Hall of Shame. Let me see what I can put together! Lots of candidates, that's for sure.

07/16/26: Great. Recommended (the people who never do the work are always offering advice!): Keep it as simple (stream-lined) as possible.

Now we need traitor John Thune to stop his actions of continual gaveling in the senate during their many recesses, keeping Trump from making recess appointments. I am flabbergasted that many republicans in the Senate allow Thune to continue this traitorous process.

ron's avatar

Don't forget that many "Republicans" in the Senate and House hate Trump, as well. He upsets the gravy train...

Except Sen. Graham God Rest His Soul.

Julie Kelly's avatar

He is the worst. What a disaster.

Yes Julie when I see Todd Blanche on TV he has that look like "Bring It"I think they're starting to realize he doesn't scare very easily and doing a good job by the way Thank you Julie for your great writing and keeping us informed nobody could do it better

Julie Kelly's avatar

Thank you, Sharon, for your ongoing support! And I agree he has that, "come and get it" look about him. He saw it all as the president's criminal defense attorney. He know firsthand how truly corrupt and evil the opposition is. Glad Trump nominated him.

Never has this statement below been more evident than under one-party Democratic control at every level of government. The corruption—and the moral outrage expressed when their own actions are exposed—is staggering. The question is: when will our remaining sane progressive friends wake up if ever (I know there are not a huge number of those types left).....

"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."

This post is another example of why I respect your reporting so much, Julie! You know the players. You keep us informed. You make sure the context is never missing. When you mentioned that Obama judge, Williams, sending her bogus anti-Blanche “opinion” to the NY State and DC Bar Associations, it completely exposed these leftists for who they (always) are: activists determined to ruin people, not just disagree with them. That is a real threat to anyone pursuing justice and the truth. Once again you expose them so perfectly!

Julie Kelly's avatar

Thank you, Holly! I truly appreciate your support!

Yep, in the political world, the more your opponent complains, and especially the Democrats, you are the right man. Bill Pulte, now Todd Blanche getting the treatment. I fully expect Blanche to be denied, but I also expect him to complete Trump's term as acting. The Obama Trials are warming up, and with Joe DiG 'divide and conquer ' strategy, some Obama Administration person will flip, and finger the leaders. Then the Democrats will need to regroup, and change for real, otherwise they will be banned into the political wilderness forever.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Tillis is trying to tank him. Cornyn, maybe. He should still have the votes but we can't get rid of these frauds fast enough!

ron's avatar

...and then demoncrats, and msm, of course, will just respond that "trump is exerting 'lawfare' against demoncrats."

Blanche looks like the kind of guy who never smiles, which seems perfect for Attorney General. He looks like he taketh no crapola from anyone. Perfect!

Julie Kelly's avatar

Agreed, Cara!

Jon S's avatar

this is key: earn back lost trust in the nation’s most powerful law enforcement agency and institute reforms that won’t be easily undone under a future Democratic administration.

Thanx again Julie....

Julie Kelly's avatar

Thank you, Jon!

I can't imagine why all the Deep Swampers are against Blanche. After all, he is recognizing them for all their good works, with the Grand Jury referrals and Indictments he's processed...so far. Keep us posted Julie!

Julie Kelly's avatar

Will do, Sandy!

Face it, as soon as anybody saw an "R" by his name, he had a big bucket load of enemies.

Thanks for this piece, Julie. You are absolutely correct in emphasizing the extraordinary hypocrisy of the DOJ under the third term of Mohammad Hussein Osama in their unconstitutional lawfare against President Trump. For these execrable creatures to accuse Todd Blanche of politicizing the DOJ after what many of them did in said lawfare during the above-mentioned third term, lawfare in which they were eager participants, is jaw-droppingly remarkable. I guess the old saying that you only encounter flak when you're over the target is appropriate, isn't it?

Julie Kelly's avatar

Exactly right, Karlan! Now Blanche can really roll!

Richard Luthmann's avatar

The outrage over Blanche is really an obituary for the old DOJ protection racket. Career officials want “independence” to mean insulation from elections, insulation from reform, and insulation from consequences. Federal judges want ethics lectures to flow one way: from the bench to the elected branches, never back toward the lawfare judiciary. Blanche may face hard questions over the Trump IRS settlement, the Anti-Weaponization Fund, personnel firings, and Epstein-file mistakes. Fine. Ask them. But do not pretend the people who broke public trust are now its guardians. The same system that chased J6 grandmothers, shielded Biden-world, and laundered politics through prosecutions suddenly discovered neutrality when its own jobs were on the line. If Blanche is making that crowd howl, he is probably over the target.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Hopefully they are scared, Richard, and have reason to be!

As usual this leftwing organization, Justice Connections is funded by the Government Accountability Project. And, oh, surprise! The usual suspects of Soros, Rockefeller and the rest of the repugnant anti-American, anti-fossil fuels, anti-free speech radicals are supporting another burn down the house Biden brownshirts of the DOJ. Justice Connections is a scott free wrecking ball to our justice system that started in 2025, of course. And now forming another organization for the former horror show of FBI agents who didn't mind swatting Americans wherever, along with every Trump advisor, friend, attorney and of course, the J6rs, parents, Catholics, and supporters of Trump.

And while running down the list of the biggest anti-Democratic funding machines that spread their wealth in all the organizations that collude to take down our way of life, a name I hadn't come across before was a Pierre Omidyan. Julie probably knows about him, but he's the founder of EBay. He is using the standard "pro-America" misdirection for his creation of the "Democracy Fund". He has a start up for the development of generative AI to "reimagine capitalism"! Yup, the founder of EBay. He's decided to reimagine capitalism for inclusive infrastructure for diverse voices. Or, discriminatory speech (ie censorship). Priceless, and Mr Free Speech in his twisted logic gave $2M to "Stop the Steal". Nope, not the 2020 election, but to get the 20 top advertisers of Twitter to pull their advertising to boycott the acquisition of the platform by Elon Musk, who promotes free speech all the way.

So, we wonder how so many Democrats are now turning to Socialism, and voting for people who are so anti-American it scares the hell out of us. But all you have to do is look around and between foreign influence and foundations by people who made billions with capitalism, and we get a lot of power in the most destructive hands with one goal and it is not pro- America.

Once confirmed, he should take on the nom-du-guerre, "Carte". Us blow-up-stuff and whack-terr types would like that.

Me too, Desmond!
