This is a great first step, Julie, and I suspect you know more about this than any of us given your close involvement through the years. My big question is when will those involved in this despicable activity be prosecuted and incarcerated? I believe you’ve told us that at least some have been fired, but prosecution of these miscreants is the best way to avoid recurrence.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Yes, several prosecutors and FBI officials have been fired. The president said today that more purges are expected. It takes time to sniff these guys out and then remove them. A rolling process ongoing...

Agree that it's a great first step, my one concern is allowing Blanche to be appointing 4 of the 5 commissioner that will be adjudicating claims. While Blanche has shown positive motion since becoming interim AG, I am convinced it's a facade until the "interim" is dropped. He showed himself to be a deep stater before this audition with absolutely NO sympathy for J6ers; he will return to form once the audition is over.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Pete, I respectfully disagree. Todd saw firsthand the lawfare abuses against the president as his private defense attorney. I believe he is passionate about this project. Will every victim get everything they ask for? No. And to your point, Blanche's appointments will give us a good indication of where this is headed. But I think he is sincere and I've been very pleased with his performance so far.

You know how much I respect your opinion, so I'll back off and pray you are right on this; my gut tells me he's just posturing (mostly because of how he has silenced Ed Martin, and...) Love what you do!

Bravo! Great first step.

Now Director Patel should fire and prosecute the FBI agents that physically brutalized J6’rs. Sadists should not be allowed to hide behind “they were following orders”. These agents are known. They must be removed before the next leftist administration tasks them again with going after “domestic terrorists”i.e. citizens that support the constitution.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Agreed. One of Emil Bove's first acts as acting DAG was to produce a list of every FBI employee who touched a J6 case. That demand was met with insubordination by Brian Driscoll and others. The issue is still being litigated in DC court--but I still believe they intend to purge the FBI of all bad apples, especially those who trounced on the 1A rights of Americans to protest their government.

I'd like to take the money right out of the hide of every corrupt judge and prosecutor who tortured these Americans. Let their names go down in infamy, and their bank accounts go down the toilet.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Ditto, Cara!

It’s physically sickening how much we citizens have been forced to endure for many years.

But especially over the last decade or so at the hands of OUR OWN GOVERNMENT!

We have got to say, loudly and clearly to our government workers, elected or otherwise, NEVER AGAIN! 🇺🇸

History will repeat itself if those responsible are not held accountable and those destroyed are not made whole.

I never realized someone was actually sent to prison in the IRS leak case. The fact that so many people are unaware of it raises legitimate questions about how extensively the story was covered and whether the media gave it the attention it deserved.

I also believe what President Donald Trump has done for many of the January 6 defendants is significant and, in my view, long overdue. At the same time, many Americans remain troubled that the prosecutors, judges, media figures, and other institutional actors connected to those events have faced little or no accountability. Whether one agrees or disagrees politically, unequal accountability under the law undermines public trust and leaves many people concerned that similar abuses could happen again.

Julie Kelly's avatar

It is unfortunate that the judges, who were primarily responsible for allowing these farcical trials to commence in DC, won't face any consequences. But it is gratifying imagining their whining at the DC courthouse over this fund.

Jon S's avatar

you are better at seeing silver linings than I. I admire that......these were crimes....

and Liz Cheney walks free, like her multi-murderer father.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Yes. Very frustrating.

This a first step but not nearly enough. All of us who stood with President Trump and the J6s through out the country suffered. It is time and past for all the "legal" prosecutors, lawyers, judges, intelligence agencies, congress and staff, past president and his cabinet and staff, governors to really be held accountable

Julie Kelly's avatar

I believe this is the ultimate goal but takes time. Developments have accelerated under Blanche and it's clear the president is out of patience.

The text of Amendment VIII of the US Constitution, "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted," should be branded on Matthew Graves's forehead.

Wendy Jacques's avatar

Peter, From your computer to God's ear! Please let there be accountability for evil Matthew Graves, who spear-headed the weaponization of the Biden DOJ against J6ers.

Julie Kelly's avatar

I wish! But he would wear it as a badge of honor.

Tattoed.

This is a tremendous step to help those tormented and unduly abused and punished by the Biden regime. The reparations will definitely help however it will not undue the mental torment and stress that was inflicted upon them and their families! On a different topic, I hope the despicable Police Officer Michael Farone is brought to justice for lying before congress!

Thank you Julie, I’m sure the Left will go ballistic and protest (peacefully as the media will report) opposing one more President Trump decision to help the J6ers .

Julie Kelly's avatar

Fanone and all of the J6 celeb cops. Did you see my post today--Dunn and Hodges filed a lawsuit to stop the fund and claimed it could result in "harm." They just never stop.

Kevin Beck's avatar

It's a start of the process of recompense for the unjustly injured.

I would also like to see the punishment of those who wrongfully acted under color of the law to inflict these harsh punishments upon the political protesters. As an example, once the Supreme Court ruled that the Enron-era destruction of evidence charge was an unlawful use of the law to create more extreme punishments, that any prosecutor who used that charge on these cases should be subject to financial punishment, possible jail time, and be forbidden from holding any office within the US Government for the rest of their lousy lives. In the case of Capt Christopher Kuehne, whose wife suffered a miscarriage the day after his arrest, those who participated in the raid of his home should be tried for murder, which is the proper charge in multiple states for causing a miscarriage.

An additional note about the attempted overthrow of democracy: What is democracy if not mob rule? Well, the "mob" ruled on January 6. So they were actually upholding the values of democracy, not overthrowing them.

Julie Kelly's avatar

I agree that every prosecutor who used that illegal charge and every judge who allowed it (Carl Nichols being the only one who dismissed the charge, which resulted in the SCOTUS opinion) should be unemployed and disbarred.

Dennis Brady's avatar

Thanks Julie for shedding light on this blight o Justice by the corrupt Biden administration.

Julie Kelly's avatar

You're welcome, Dennis, and thanks for your support!

Wendy Jacques's avatar

I greatly thank President Trump for establishing some restitution for the J6 victims of Democrat weaponization of the DOJ under the Biden years of tyranny.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Another courageous and compassionate move by the president on behalf of the J6ers.

Pat Smith's avatar

So we paid for the original witch hunt. Now we have to pay for it again while the perpetrators collect their pensions while working for white shoe law firms. Something ain't right.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Very frustrating, I agree. But what is the option? These people must be made whole and it's not like Matt Graves and Chris Wray are stepping up to donate.

Lzy's avatar

While Julie and her fans cheer.

Thomas Marsh's avatar

About time the J6ers were relieved…all who were unjustly prosecuted must be totally pardoned…totally pardoned.

Julie Kelly's avatar

Thomas, I know it will be a long process but hopefully Blanche can create the commission quickly and money can start moving before Democrats shut it down.
