A diplomat is never prosecuted by the laws which pertain to American citizens. The law, as it pertains to diplomats, only permits their expulsion from the country whose laws they violate.
Once again, Julie, you have willingly gone into this thicket of the weaponization of the legal system to provide a succinct snapshot of the decision by SCOTUS to hear oral arguments on 04/22/2024. Of course, those brief examples of the hysteria emanating from the Marxists' was delicious to read, especially the two by Pelosi and Weissmann. Only God knows how the Court will decide the issue, especially considering how unpredictable the Chief Justice can be. In the best of all possible worlds, the decision should be unanimous, which would put an end to the ridiculous attempt by the Marxist-Demo party to criminalize official Presidential acts. All that remains for us to do is pray that SCOTUS will uphold the absolute immunity accorded to the President. Otherwise, the United States descent into honest-to-God Third World status will continue apace. If that happens, only prayer will help.
