How fitting that the federal case against the performative former FBI Director is surrounded by drama and deception. Just like his corrupt stint at the FBI.
Comey built his career on moral preening while corrupting every institution he touched. Russia hoax. Leaks. Memos. Anonymous accounts. Curtain hiding. Media manipulation. Now the same man wants the benefit of innocent explanation for a threat-coded anti-Trump post. Fine. Let a jury hear it. Let Sammy the Bull explain what “86” means. Let prosecutors show the device trail, the remote beach location, the wife’s search, the timing, and Comey’s credibility problem. The case is wild because Comey is wild. The former FBI saint now gets the system he helped weaponize. Good. Let it bite.
It has been said many times here and elsewhere, but bears repeating, “in the halls of justice the only justice is in the halls.” But! We can all hope that before a jury of his “peers” that James Comey is found guilty. That he is sentenced and after numerous appeals is sent off to some nice Camp Fed in the Pocono’s where he can teach sea shell design classes. Maybe he can call one of the victims of one of his greatest prosecutions Martha Stewart and ask what other hobbies he might learn whilst in the crowbar hotel. He ought not be surprised if Ms. Stewart doesn’t return his calls or emails….
